These two pictures were taken in the same position only with normal vision and thermal vision, the drone did not move.
Transport Incident
Incident Southern Alberta Dec 2023, No pictures due to sensitive scene
Scene:
– Two transport trucks carrying unknown substances collide in bad weather.
– Placards cannot be read so substances unknown, therefor Hazmat teams delayed.
– Unknown possible leaks.
Solution:
– Thermal drone called and flown into scene.
– Placards found and read.
– Tank levels measured in both units by thermal imaging.
– Precise location of leaks found by thermal imaging.
– Major heat areas for possible ignition points identified.
